PARALEGAL

Theresa serves as a paralegal at The Barton Law Firm in Kerrville, Texas. She was raised in Palestine, Texas and considers East Texas home.  Theresa has lived in Kerrville over 25 years.  She became a paralegal for a very personal reason.  In 1996, her father was killed in an on-the-job explosion accident.  During the legal fight with the company, a wonderful paralegal assisted Theresa’s family and changed her life. Inspired by the compassion delivered by the paralegal, Colleen, Theresa decided to return to college and change careers from a childcare director to a paralegal.  She enrolled in the UTSA paralegal program and graduated in August of 2004. Theresa has worked as a paralegal since 2004. Her hope is to be the kind of paralegal that Colleen was to her own family when they were going through the worst time of their lives. Theresa is familiar with the pain that unexpected trauma causes clients and strives to be “Colleen” to them.

FUN FACTS

Favorite Hobby: I love to binge watch Court TV cases and Netflix crime documentaries.

Favorite Album: Journey (Steve Perry) is the greatest band of all time, change my mind!

Favorite Fun Fact: I lived and traveled in Mexico for four years. Americans are spoiled with modern conveniences.
