Amos Barton is the founder and lead attorney of The Barton Law Firm. For more than 25 years, he has dedicated his career to helping individuals and families navigate some of the most challenging moments of their lives. Whether representing victims of serious injury, abuse, criminal acts, or wrongful death, Amos is committed to providing experienced legal guidance and standing up for those who need a strong advocate in their corner.

A graduate of Angelo State University and Texas Tech University School of Law, Amos began his career in public service as an elected Texas District Attorney. During his time as a prosecutor, he handled cases involving violent crime, organized criminal activity, child abuse, and homicide. Those years in the courtroom sharpened his trial skills and gave him firsthand experience seeking justice on behalf of victims and their families.

Today, Amos brings that same dedication to his private practice. He focuses on helping clients pursue accountability and recovery after life-changing events, including serious accidents, sexual assault, drunk driving crashes, and other acts of negligence. Known for his straightforward approach and genuine care for his clients, Amos believes every person deserves to be treated with respect, honesty, and compassion throughout their case.

A fifth-generation Texan, Amos was raised in a farming and ranching family in West Texas, where hard work, integrity, and service to others were a way of life. Those values continue to guide both his practice and his relationships with clients. When he's not working, Amos enjoys cooking, traveling with his wife Courtney, spending time with their children, flying, and exploring the outdoors.

FUN FACTS

Skill: IFR certified pilot, which he has recently segwayed into learning to fly a helicopter.

Favorite Hobby: Renovating historic buildings and woodworking
